Rockwood is one of the premier C.B.S.E. Affiliated Schools in Noida. Since its conception, ROCKWOOD had always realized the significance of the creativity and capability of the students in various fields, to add to the basic infrastructure, a Sculpture Lab, a Home Science Lab and a Splash Pool has been provided to the students. Regular Yoga training is imparted to the students. Facilities of Horse riding are also available to the students till the senior classes. Multi-media room assists the regular teaching (in both primary and middle wings) through software, which is based strictly on C.B.S.E. Curriculum. ROCKWOOD is well equipped with various sports facilities. Experienced coaches provide cricket coaching on net and also on mat. Special emphasis is laid on development of Pool & Snooker sport. A full-fledged Poolroom is provided for coaching & practice for enlistment of this sport in the school campus. The Basketball court & the Volleyball court provide a platform for students to have expertise in various outdoor games.

Physics, Chemistry & Biology Laboratories are well equipped with the required equipment & consumables. Students get first hand experience of various experiments in all these subjects on regular basis.

Annual Day Celebrations

Annual Day is celebrated every year in which students participate in various cultural programmes. The students are given full opportunity to express their talent and skills which enhances their confidence. It also develops a sprit of association with the fellow students. The parents are cordially invited to witness this mega event. Principal addresses the gathering and presents them with school report describing various achievements & activities of the school during the year. The students are awarded for their extra-ordinary performance in academics and various co-curricular activities.


Ramayana

Ramayana is staged every year during the pious occasion of "Navratri"in which more than 500 students participate. This not only enhances their acting skills and team work, but it also helps the students to remember their culture & heritage. Eminent personalities are invited job the event, who also share their views on the values of 'Ram' & other characters of Ramayana.

Bharat Utsav

During the month of August, Bharat Utsav is celebrated during the middle of the month in which various inter house competition are held like mehandi, face painting, bindi, kite flying etc. besides tournaments on various sports.

Summer Camp

Summer Camp for the board classes are conducted every year during the summer vacations. The students are taught all the subjects. Remedial classes are conducted regularly after school hours for helping the students in the subject, which they find difficult. Subject teacher of Board classes are available after school hour to help the students overcome their problems in all the subjects. Various sports & Extra-curricular activity.

Newspaper in Education & Workshops

Newspaper reading and activities connected with it are a regular feature in the school. Experts in different fields like dramatics,

flower-arrangement, candle making, etc. come and conduct workshops in the school enabling students to make best use of spare time.

Late Sh. D. S. Tandon, an altruist, had visualized such an institution, much before its conception. An institution where, education was just an element of a noble vision he perceived. He believed that:

A generation that was already facing a severe leadership crunch could not afford to wait passively for leaders to be born. Leaders had to be made and only complete excellence would generate enduring leadership. Education had to be for the Head and the Heart-for the Intellect as well as for the Spirit. Hence along with the pursuit for the Academic excellence it was imperative that students be made to realize the momentous value of Humility, the strength of Courage, the consequences of Hard work and the vigour of Determination. A mix of these values would suitably equip them to withstand the onslaught of cultural invasion, while adapting to the fast track changes of the New Millennium.

The mission saw its ultimate realization with the establishment of ’Rockwood’- An institution with a difference. The edifice was raised under the able guidance of late Sh. D.S. Tandon, founder President of Parm Education & Medical Trust. The path was already defined. His co-travellers, an immensely dedicated and competent staff who volunteered to tread the uphill path with willing readiness
